November 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Event Navigation
Are you struggling to cope with the unique needs of being both a mother and an employee without feeling like you are failing at both? Being around other mothers struggling with similar issues, sharing successes, strategies, and frustrations can be a tremendous resource. Come and join other hard-working mothers for a supportive 1-hour lunchtime session with Certified Career Counselor, Wendy McWilliams, at the Bay Area Career Center in downtown SF. We will tackle a new topic each week with opportunities to share individual stories and draw on the wisdom of the group.
Who Should Attend: Full-time, part-time, single-moms, partnered moms–any working mother who could use a safe place to share about her challenges and help other mothers seek solutions.
Some topics to be discussed (based on group’s interest): The Vital Role of Flexibility at Work. Do you have it? How do you get it?;Self-care and Wellness and how to fit it into your busy life; Dealing with the Homefront: Strategies on Coping and Managing all of the responsibilities; Encountering Bias at the Workplace.
“I strongly believe in the power of group support and mentoring through example.”
